Significance of the UAE National Day
The National Day of the UAE is celebrated on 2nd December every year. This article will attempt to trace the background and significance of this glorious day in the annals of the history of the emirates.

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of 7 emirates, namely, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Sharjah, Fujairah and Ajman. From a desert land of yore, the UAE has emerged as a glittering metropolitan with the spirit of globalization permeating its very veins.
Let’s taste a slice of history
The UAE was formed in the year 1971 under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. In the beginning the UAE was a federation of six emirates to which the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah was added a year later. The national assembly has representatives from each one of the emirates while the Ruler of each emirate has to vote in the Supreme Council of Rulers.

The UAE has trodden long strides since its birth 36 years ago. Its unparalleled economic growth over the years has been an object of admiration and a subject of analysis the world over, rising cheap holidays industry.

I have been in this country for nearly 30 yrs and i have noticed the finer changes it has brought – only for the comfort of its people. Be it nationals or expats…everyone is so proud and humbled to be a part of the 37th National day. May Allah bless the ruler of this country and its people with good health and wisdom. Ameen.
The dreams may vary from people to people (from a CEO to a taxi Driver) but the UAE helps people to get their dreams come true ,if not for all but for Many Many of them.

i feel extremely proud to be in UAE for around 30 yrs.i feel this is my homeland.its culture,tradition everything is superb.its nice to be here in the midst of different nationalities.i wish uae and its people a very haapy prosperous future. may the dreams of all the rulers especially the dreams of SHEIKH ZAYED BIN SULTAN ALNAHYAN RAHMATULLAHI ALAIH come true and may the country perish for ever.but one small dream i too hav…i wish the house rents here are reduced as it was 10yrs bac on the ocassion of this national day. so that all the expats living here feels more comfotable and peace.
alhamdulillah, i have been i this country for more than 13years, i feel very very lucky to be here because for lot of reasons.i can be a relegious if camparing to other countries.

Since 1980 I am in uae. I am so happy every day.Now in the occation of the national dayI wish its all brothers and sisters May ALLAH give them long and long life.
